Leaving in 3,2,1 (again)

So, your host in this place is going to leave you for a while, again.

Two years ago, it was to move to Hungary, best time of my life.

This time, it's to move to Galway, Ireland where I'll be working with this people on some cool stuff.

I'm a bit afraid about finding a home, and I wish I'll not be completely useless in the project, but well, better to try and fail then never try.

See you, Dear Reader, I can't understand why you're still around this place, but thank you for doing so.

the missing, me

Hi, fellow readers, as you may uess I'm not dead yet, but I have to apologize for my long time disappearance. I won't tll you that I'll be mnore presente in the next days, but I can tell you that my erasmus experience will end in the first week of february, and after that I should really go back to normal life. Which, compared to my 3 months kind-of-holyday, really suck. anyway, if you're able to read a little bit of italian you may like to read the category about my trip/life in my "other blog":http://riffraff.blogsome.com/category/personale/erasmus/ , which I update much more often, i.e. once every two weeks. Anyway, I wish you had a merry christmas, and a happy new year! See all comments

budapest, after 2 weeks

sorry 'bout not writing enough, but my lack of free time is astonishing.. I've been living in budapest for 2 weeks counting today, and there was no single day that I had thought to myself "ah, what a nice calm time" or something like that. Sleeping about 5 hours per day, trying to fit 5 classes and a half in one morning, striving to overcome the impedance mismatch between italian cooking and hungarian ingredients, seeking an internet connection that I could use safely when i want.. and having great fun. I'd love to have more time to do ruby stuff, the italian rubyists have some great stuff going on and I can't play, and I would like to get back hacking nitro, but I'm trying to follow the idea that real life is a little bit more important than the others. Anyway, this is an awesome city, and I'm really liking the people, both young and old. And quoting the "survival manual" that my university gave me, "the beer is stupidly cheap". If you pass by budapest, ping me, i'll try to find some time to show you. See all comments

Leaving in 3, 2, 1..

I'm leaving my house in 3 hours. Till 21 December I'll be leaving in Budapest (Hungary) taking advantage of the European Erasmus/Socrates program for studying in foreign UE countries. This basically means I'll have less time to hack, and that I'm in a small anxious mood. I'll let you know if everything goes fine ;) See all comments
